AbideRooms ("we", "our", "the app") is a live Bible study platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account information: Email address, display name, username, and optional bio you provide during signup.
• Study content: Chat messages, scripture pins, and prayer requests you post in live sessions.
• Usage data: Which rooms you join, session participation timestamps, and subscription preferences.
• Audio: Live audio is transmitted in real-time via LiveKit and is not recorded or stored unless a future recording feature is explicitly enabled by the host with participant notice.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Authenticate your account and manage your profile.
• Deliver live Bible study features: audio rooms, chat, scripture pinning.
• Enforce community guidelines through moderation (reports, blocks).
• Send notifications about rooms you subscribe to (when enabled).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• LiveKit — real-time audio infrastructure (processes audio streams, does not store them).

4. Data Retention

Your account and content are retained while your account is active. Chat messages from ended sessions are retained for moderation review. You can delete your account in the app, and some historical records may remain in anonymized form for safety and legal compliance.

5. Your Rights

You can:

• View and edit your profile information in the app.
• Delete your chat messages by contacting a room moderator.
• Delete your account from the Profile screen in the app.
• Block other users to hide their content from your view.

6. Children's Privacy

AbideRooms is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), JWT-based authentication, and server-side input sanitization.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
